Ingredients
- 1 package bacon, diced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 pieces of celery, diced
- 1 quart of heavy whipping cream
- 4 tbsp “Better than Bouillon”
- 2 tbsp thyme leaves
- 3 bay leaves
- 3 cans of creamed corn
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 quart water
- salt and pepper
Method:
Sauté bacon, onions and celery in olive oil until bacon is crisp, but not too crisp! Add butter and flour, stir well for two minutes. Pour in cream and water and bring to a slow boil whisking well. When thickened, add corn, salt and pepper. You can always add potatoes if desired. Bon Appetite!
